The Guardian Children's Fiction Award

Awarded to an outstanding work of fiction (not picture books) for children written by a British or Commonwealth author, first published in the UK during the calendar year preceding the year in which the award is presented. The winner is chosen by a panel of authors and the review editor for The Guardian's children's books section.
