Really great for advanced readers. There are tons of songs, one in elven tounge. There are not just elves though; Dwarves, Wizards, Men and most of all, Hobbits.

Bilbo hands over the ring he found in "The Hobbit" to Frodo Baggins who doesn't know what hit him. Neither will you should you choose this amazing novel!

Once you've read that there is also "The Two Towers" and "The Return of the King". These form a trilogy of books, but I'd take a rest between them all!
