A really good realistic fiction book. It's about a kid, Jesse, who lives in Lark Creek. He has an ambition to be the fastest kid in fifth grade. He has been practicing all summer. He seems like a fast kid until a girl beats him! Thats when they become friends. As their friendship grows to the highest level, they eventually build Terabithia.

Jesse is not anxious to get things done. Also he is lovestruck, he has a crush on someone. Leslie has a lot of imagination. She thinks there are invisible spirits in Terabithia, also I think she is weird. For example she's weird because she doesn't have T.V.

I don't think the book Bridge To Terabithia is good for kids third grade and under. It is a fourth grade reading level with 128 pages. The language is not appropriate. Just in case, parents should preview the book before they let their child read it because of the words. It is still a good book though.

The book was published in 1977. Harper Collins Chidrens Books published it. There are at least 9 illistrations. It's $4.95 in the U.S., $6.95 Canada. Try to find out why it's called Bridge to Terabithia...
