'Holes' is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats. People think that he stole a pair of sneakers. He went to court and the judge gave him a choice of going to camp Green Lake or jail. Of course, he chose camp, but it was awful! The only thing they did was dig holes. Bige holes, 5 feet long and 5 feet wide. But why dig holes all day, and why in the desert, also known as Camp Green Lake? I really enjoyed this book; my favourite part was when Stanley finds something mysterious with an initial carved into it. If you're a person who likes Newberry award books, and books by Louis Sachar you will probably want to read this book again.
