Loma is about a group of foster children who are brought
together into one foster family. The come from many different backgrounds and many different countries and have a wide variety of skills among them.
This is the first book I have found that actually features a disabled kid as one of the heroes.

The MacIver kids find themselves caught between two races of aliens on Earth and they need to decide which race they are going to help, which isn't easy since they don't all agree.

This book was a thrilling adventure that I couldn't put down and I will read it over and over until the next book comes out.
