This book was absolutely fantastic, we loved it. It is about the city of Aramanth which revolves around exams and tests. The city was placed under the spell of the mysterious Morah.

The main characters were Kestrel and Bowman Hath who were twins who shared the gift of telepathy between each other. Kestrel revolted plunging her family into a worse quality of life. Our favourite character is a thick, fat person called Mumpo. Kestrel and Bowman and Mumpo set out on a quest to restore the Wind Singer's voice.

We would recommend this book to anyone from 8 onwards who likes to sit down and read a long, exciting book.
