It's about Ratty and Mole and Toad and Badger who live near the river bank. Ratty and Moley go on a picnic in their boat but they all fall in the river. Toady goes to prison because he drives too fast, he crashes and he doesn't put on his seatbelt. A little girl with a blue dress and yellow plaits gives him dinner in prison and helps him to get out of prison. Then he steals a white horse.

Toady is my favourite character because he is so funny. Ratty is sensible. I like this book because the stories are sweet and because Toad is funny. Moley, Ratty and Badger are good friends because they look after Toady even when he has been naughty.

I know this story very well because I also listen to it in the car, but this book has lots of pretty pictures which I like looking at. My favourite picture is at the beginning of a green garden because it is so lovely I would like to live in that garden.

I would not change any part of this story.
