Stand aside Tolkien, you're no match for Pullman!
Philip Pullman writes with such description any reader will be pulled into the book. I loved reading this book and I instantly bought my copy of The Subtle Knife and I'm so engrossed in it that I read it whenever I can - actually I can hardly ever put it down.
My favourite part in Northern Lights was when the amored Bears fought a battle against Mrs. Coulter and the evil witches.
This book will have any reader raring for more. I don't believe that there is any writer who can match up to Philip Pullman - I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who can read.
